Crocheted Christmas Wreath

This Christmas wreath is easy to make and can be created with leftover wool and a few hours.

Using a 35cm flat back polystyrene wreath cast on 30 stitches and crochet in alternate colours until you have enough length to cover the wreath. Cast off and pin into place. Using matching thread sew the sides of the crochet together. Create a few coloured pom poms using a pom pom maker and attach with a glue gun.

* You may need to adjust the amount of stitches cast on depending on your type of wool and tension

How to Make a Lollypop Tree

STEP 1

Gather your materials. You will need 15cm polystyrene ball, large metal pot, plaster of paris (1kg), wooden dowel, lolly pops (we used 80 chupa chups) and some tissue paper to decorate.

STEP 2

Mix the plaster, pour into the pot and while it starts to set insert your dowel. When set attach the polystyrene ball. Alternatively you can do this step when the ball is covered.

 STEP 3

Push each lollypop into the ball ensuring it is well inserted. You don't need to use glue. Space the lollys evenly over the balls surface.

STEP 4

Fill in the gaps with small squares of tissue.  Decorate the dowel with some narrow ribbon.

 STEP 5

Display your tree for all to admire
